V is the founder and CEO of Sword, the AI company for health. Sword operates as both a frontier AI research lab and an applied AI care platform, treating over 1 million members directly across a broad range of health conditions, and powering the operational systems that care for millions more.
V’s vision for Sword began when he witnessed firsthand the gap between what society needs from its healthcare system and what a healthcare model constrained by human capacity can deliver. He came to believe that the next era of healthcare would have to be built on new foundations, and that AI would be the technology that made it possible.
He established the theoretical groundwork during his PhD in Electrical Engineering, focused on how AI could extend the reach of human clinicians. After completing his doctorate, he founded Sword to bring that work into practice at global scale.
This impact is built upon a foundation of rigorous scientific research. V holds more than 50 patents and has authored more than 170 peer-reviewed publications spanning sensor fusion, artificial intelligence, and clinical rehabilitation. His work is guided by a strong conviction that healthcare is the industry where AI can do the most good, and Sword is leading that generation of work.
Today, V leads Sword’s long-term vision and strategy. His focus is on building AI that can remove structural barriers to access, extend what clinicians are able to do, and create a model of healthcare capable of serving people at a scale the traditional system cannot.
