The metabolic health audit: strategies to reduce employee health risk and lower claims
Employer health costs are set to rise 8.2% next year, the steepest increase since 2003, and GLP-1 utilization alone accounts for a full percentage point of that growth.¹ Most employers built their cardiometabolic benefit one decision at a time. A GLP-1 vendor got added when the need was urgent. A lifestyle program got layered on top. None of it was built to work together, and now the cost of that shows up everywhere: the claims report, duplicated vendor fees, and members caught between programs that don't talk to each other. Costs are already rising faster than most benefits teams have budget for, which is why it's worth knowing whether what you're paying for is truly working.
In this session, Abinue Fortingo, a benefits strategist who leads Brown & Brown's large-market Population Health consulting team, joins Kevin Wang of Sword Health for a conversation built around the strategic framework Abinue uses to advise employers on these exact decisions. Walk away with a way to separate the vendors worth keeping from the ones just adding cost.
